Scientific Board

The Scientific Board serves a three-year term and sets the direction and the objectives of the Library, following the programme guidelines of the academic bodies. 
In particular:

  • it proposes the Library overall cultural policy and gives opinions on strategic choices to ensure adequate and balanced coverage of the relevant disciplinary areas
  • it reviews and approves the Library request for resources to the Campus Council and the Library financial statements.
  • it submits the Library Regulations, and any amendments, to the Campus Council.

The Chair of the Scientific Board

Its functions are:

  • to convene and preside over the Library Scientific Board.
  • to represent the Library on the various bodies and in scientific questions regarding the University Library System, within his/her own field of competence.
