Access to spaces and resources, and the reference use of library materials.
To enter the Library, coats and bags must be placed in the lockers, which can be opened with the University badge, a six-digit code or another magnetic card. The Library accepts no responsibility for valuables left in lockers.
Eating and drinking are not permitted, and mobile phones may not be used in the Library.
At the Library entrance you will find the Loan Desk, where you can ask for information, register and borrow or return items.
All Library spaces are covered by the AlmaWiFi network, which requires Unibo credentials, and by the EmiliaRomagnaWiFi network, which is open access.
The following are meant only for reference in the Library: periodicals, the copy of textbooks shelved under LT, reference works (encyclopaedias, dictionaries, atlases, etc.) and some additional course materials.
Specific conditions apply to consult archival material.
Some items from our collections are kept at external locations.
Users with mobility difficulties can access the Library via the dedicated entrance in Via Caterina Sforza 45. To contact the staff, ring the bell or call (+39) 0543 374001.
The Library also takes part in the University inter-library cooperation programme for the special needs of university users, working together with the University Services for Students with disabilities and SLDs.
Forlì Campus users with certified disabilities are entitled to extended loan periods. An IT workstation is available for converting teaching materials.
All Bologna University students with certified disabilities may obtain, on loan or in copy, items not held by the Library from other Italian or international libraries.
Copies of some textbooks in Braille are available for loan. The complete list is available in the Library Catalogue.
